An artist's book in double leaves illustrated with linocut prints, some in color. Lengths of actual string are incorporated into two illustrations. Quarter bound in orange cloth on illustrated paper-covered boards; title on paper panel on spine.

"This book was created as a partnership between the Faculty of San Gerónimo, the Office of the Historian of Havana, and the University of Alabama. Cuban participants are Professors José Vásquez and Maria de Lourdes Alonso, who selected the text; Raimundo Respall, Director of the Taller Experimental de Gráfica, where the prints were made; and Izel Mariño, Rafael Suan Lazo, Enrique Álvarez and Hanoi Morejón of Taller de Papel Artesanal where paper for the book was made by hand from recycled materials. Special thanks go to Dr. José Vásquez Rodríguez, Director of International Relations, San Gerónimo University. Design, letterpress, and bookbinding were executed by Professor Anna Embree, Professor Steve Miller, and students Lark Griffin, Friedrich Kerksieck, Jessica Peterson and Emily Tipps in the MFA in the Book Arts Program. Special thanks are given to the School of Library and Information Studies, the College of Communication and Information Sciences, and the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Alabama. Printed and bound during the fall and winter of 2008 in Tuscaloosa and Havana"--Colophon.
