Unlike the American tradition of sending and receiving Christmas cards, Caruso tended to receive New Year’s cards, in the French tradition. Also prevalent are Easter cards, often displaying floral arrangements. Surprisingly, holidays cards are in fact quite rare among the collection, with just 13 examples in total.
