Professor Lou H. Silberman was instrumental in assisting Mr. Manuel Eskind to establish a fund in memory of his wife, Leah Belle Levy Eskind. From 1963 to 1980, an annual gift was received by the library, enabling the Judaica Collection to maintain a healthy acquisitions program.
