An artist's book consisting of a story and a set of eleven mounted prints. A folded leaf of black paper, bearing a quotation printed in silver, separates the section containing the story from that containing the prints. A trifold sheet attached to the inside back cover bears an eight-color print in triptych format. Half bound in black cloth on boards covered with pink textured paper. Issued in a black cloth-covered clamshell box with a recessed illustration on front and title stamped blind on spine.

"This ... book was designed and printed by Ke Francis. It contains The Walking Catfish, a story written and illustrated by the artist, followed by a Portfolio of prints related to the pastime of fishing. The book is hardbound in paper over board, with a cloth spine and encased in a clamshell box. The story is illustrated with black and white woodcut prints from type-high blocks, and the portfolio contains nine black and white prints, one black and red print, and one fold-out eight-color print. Each print is individually numbered and signed by the artist. The papers used in this edition are Rives lightweight and Stonehenge White made by Rising Mills. The type is twelve-point Stymie Bold. All binding was done by Larry Cooper of Gardyloo Handmade Books which is located in Memphis, TN"--Colophon.
