Fossil

Poems on a theme of dinosaurs, with line drawings resembling abstracted dinosaur forms. The book consists of three trifold sheets, bound into the wrapper at the top of the leftmost third only, to allow unfolding to the right. Poems appear on the recto of the sheets with the illustrations on the verso. Sewn at top edge in a paper wrapper in a simple stab style with yellow thread; the cover opens vertically. Colophon on the inside back cover. The title is blind embossed on the front cover; "Dusie" appears on the back cover.

The book is constructed from various handmade sheets pulled at the Lost Arch Paper Mill in Alabama for the front cover, Clearprint Vellum for the text, & Chipboard for the rear cover. Images & Bell MT fonts have been reproduced with photopolymer on a Vandercok No. 4 Proof Press at the Small Fires Press Memphis studio ...
