A single-instance (one of a kind) artist's book written, illustrated, designed and made by Sharon Sharp, with text concerning the etymology of the word "bat" and the derivation and history of several familiar English sayings concerning bats.

Has triangular double leaves of black paper (in a "flutter"-like format but sewn at spine to prevent "fluttering"), on which are glued Thai marble momi papers. Interspersed between these leaves are small bifolios of Southworth office paper containing inkjet printed images and text. Panels of Thai marble momi paper are also affixed to the black pastedowns. Bound using black Tyvek, in boards covered full with Asahi bookcloth. Has a closure of decorative metal brad and Irish linen thread adorned by glass beads; more beads adorn the tied-off threads emerging from the binding at center spine. Title printed on a Southworth office paper panel glued to a recessed panel of Thai marble momi paper on front cover.
