The Shadow radio program debuted on the 1930 CBS Detective Story Hour, and quickly built a fan base as The Shadow, alias Lamont Cranston, helped police fight crime with his psychic powers of invisibility. The show ran for 20 years and continues to be popular in re-broadcasts such as this, featuring Orson Wells.
