This photograph is purportedly of the outlaw couple Bonnie Parker (1910-1934) and Clyde Barrow (1909-1934) taken on April 3, 1932, in San Antonio, Texas. These two, along with their gang, were the scourge of the Southwest during the early 1930s. The couple participated in hundreds of robberies before dying in a hail of gunfire by a posse in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. By then, the legends of their exploits were spread across the country in the form of poems, news stories and dime novels glamorizing their lives.
