From 1930-1933 Buber was professor of religion at the University of Frankfurt before moving to Palestine to work as professor of social philosophy at Hebrew University from 1938-1951. Along with his philosophical works, like I and Thou (1937), Buber wrote extensively on various aspects of Judaism, including Hasidism and Zionism. He collaborated with Franz Rosenzweig on a Jewish translation of the Bible
