Generations: An American Family, written after extensive interviews with members of the Ledford family of Kentucky, details the history of the family. This ambitious chronicle follows the family for over two centuries through stories of their lives in Garrard and Harlan counties. In 2003, Egerton updated the book for the 20th anniversary edition.
